College can be stressful—we are here to help you! Many students experience a wide range of emotions during their college experience, including excitement, sadness, homesickness, grief, identity concerns, and stress, and sometimes all at the same time. The Kalamazoo College Counseling Center offers a wide range of no-cost services including individual and group counseling, telehealth counseling, crisis support, as well as outreach programming. Emergency Services Crisis Phone Lines If a student is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available from a licensed mental health professional 24/7/365. Individual Counseling To start individual counseling, please visit the Counseling Center and complete the intake forms located on the iPads in the lobby. You have the option to schedule your first appointment after completing the forms, otherwise a clinician will email you within 48 business hours to set up an initial appointment. If you are unable to visit the Center to complete intake forms, please complete them at counselingsignup.kzoo.edu using your K College username and password or email us at counseling.center@kzoo.edu . Uwill Telehealth Counseling The Counseling Center has partnered with Uwill to provide students with immediate access to video, phone, and chat sessions with a licensed mental health professional. This option allows for greater flexibility in scheduling and expands the provider options available. Students receive up to 8 telehealth sessions per academic year at no additional cost. These telehealth sessions are available during nights, weekends, and college breaks and can be accessed while studying abroad. To access telehealth counseling through Uwill, please create a profile using your K College email address at app.uwill.com or scan the QR code below. Need a private space for your telehealth appointment? Please use our Calendly page to book our available office: calendly.com/kzoocounselingcenter . You are able to book out a week at a time, so continue using the Calendly site each week as needed. 24/7 Crisis Support Line: 833.646.1526 The Counseling Center’s partnership with Uwill includes a phone line that is staffed by licensed mental health professionals 24/7/365 for safety evaluations, crisis support, urgent needs, or general mental health check-ins.
